The James Webb Space Telescope has succeeded the Hubble Space Telescope, which has been in space since early 1990.
This is the first image sent back to Earth from the Webb Space Telescope.

NASA: "Thousands of galaxies – including the faintest objects ever observed in the infrared – have appeared in Webb’s view for the first time. This slice of the vast universe is approximately the size of a grain of sand held at arm’s length by someone on the ground."
Although this won't be able to show us the universe during the Big Bang Theory, which is a popular explanation among scientists as to how the universe formed, it will be able to show us the early universe.
