With much of the area experiencing abnormally dry conditions, we're finally getting some rain. This activity, which is associated with a cold front, will arrive later today (Friday - 11/4) and continue through Saturday evening.
Friday morning, it was clear where the cold front was set up - across western Wisconsin. There was a nearly 20° difference in temperature between two weather station models which were ~40 miles.
As of 10:40 AM on Friday, Nov 4th, the only activity we're seeing across our area is very isolated showers. The activity is still well off to our south and west. It will, however, arrive shortly.
Rain and maybe a few embedded thunderstorms will continue into the evening, into the overnight hours, and throughout the day Saturday. We may see a few lulls, but those will be short-lived. Expect Saturday to be a day to stay inside. Here is the rainfall forecast:

Stevens Point/Wisconsin Rapids, Green Bay/Fox Valley, all the way north to Pembine/Crivitz area, and as far east as Sturgeon Bay all can expect 2"-3" of rain. Around an inch, but up to 2" can be expected elsewhere.

Not only will it be a soaking rain, there's also a significant wind threat with this system. There will be a strong pressure gradient, which will create 20-30 MPH winds, gusting up to 50 MPH in the light brown shaded counties. If you're in Door or Kewaunee county, expect 25-35 MPH winds, with gusts up to 55 MPH.
These damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are a possibility. If you're in a high-profile vehicle, use caution while on the road.
