MONDAY: Hot and humid with a chance for afternoon/evening storms

Good morning! Southwest winds will usher in hot and humid air to the area today. It will feel rather humid today with dew points well into the 60s and into the low 70s. Highs will be able to get into the upper 80s and low 90s, making for a very hot and humid day. If you can, stay in the air conditioning or try to take numerous breaks from the heat throughout the day.

The heat and humidity will create a slightly unstable atmosphere, so be on the lookout for some scattered thunderstorms later this afternoon and evening. Any of these thunderstorms could be strong/severe at times. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Level 2 (Slight) risk for a portion of the Northwoods.
