It will be a gusty, but mild start to the week. Latest forecasts show sustained winds of 20-30MPH throughout the day, with gusts up to 35-40MPH. This increases the concern for fire danger. The combination of low relative humidity, mild temperatures, and gusty winds will create a High to Very High fire danger. High temperatures will rise into the high 60s and low 70s inland, but lakeside, temperatures will be in the 50s/60s. There will be a chance for thunderstorms throughout the day as energy builds into the area, but the best chance for thunderstorms won't arrive in our area until later tonight.

Latest model runs are hinting at a squall line of thunderstorms developing along a cold front near the WI/MN border and pushing off to the east. If this holds together, it will arrive in NE WI probably around 9PM-11PM, before falling apart the further east it moves into NE WI.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, there's another chance for thunderstorms, some being strong to severe, but I will write a separate post for that. Check back soon!
