The Oconto County Sheriff's Office is pleading with residents to stay home due to flooding. In a post on Facebook Thursday night, the Sheriff's Office said:

With the massive amount of rain locally please avoid travel on CTH B north of STH 22, CTH K north of STH 22 and HWY 32 north of Gillett. Our #teamOC Highway Shop is out working hard along with our sheriffs deputies. This is not a suggestion, avoid these areas and please stay home. Thanks everyone for your anticipated cooperation.

The National Weather Service in Green Bay says that between 2"-5" of rain has already fallen. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for Southern Marinette and Southern Oconto counties until at least 11:15 PM.
