NOV 29 8:30 AM - There are no changes to this forecast. Northern Vilas county is still expected to see the highest snowfall totals.
NOV 28 6:00 PM - A low pressure system will continue to organize across the Central Plains, which will head our way overnight and into Tuesday. This system will bring plenty of moisture along with it, but any precipitation will likely hold off until Tuesday morning.
During the winter months, you'll hear me talk about the "transition zone", which is where the snow turns to a rain/mix. So, as with this system, we'll see the transition zone setup through

Lincoln, Oneida, and Florence counties. This is why the snowfall forecast looks like it does (see below). All of the area will see precipitation in some form tomorrow, whether that be rain or snow. The tricky part about these transition zones is that they can shift from model to model. I'll be watching the models closely and adjust as necessary.
Snow will begin around the morning commute (7-8AM) across the Northwoods. Meanwhile, the rest of the area won't see any form of precipitation likely until the afternoon. Snow will begin to pile up around the snow-belt in far northern Vilas County, where a Winter Storm Warning is in effect. In much of Vilas County, 5"-7" of snow is likely. Further south, in Oneida County, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect. North and west of Rhinelander, you can expect 3"-5", while, as of right now, I'm thinking 1"-3" for Rhinelander.

Forecasted Snowfall:
Antigo: <1"
Eagle River: 3"-5"
Florence: 1"-3"
Merrill: <1"
Rhinelander: 1"-3"
Stevens Point: <1"
Wausau: <1"
Wisconsin Rapids: <1"

As this system heads out of the area late Tuesday/early Wednesday morning, I expect much of the area to see some snow. I don't expect any significant travel impacts for areas south of a line from Merrill to Florence.
