Our first Winter Storm Warning of the season has been issued! This warning is for Vilas county, where 4"-8" of snow is likely in the snowbelt (far NW Vilas County) and 2"-4" elsewhere in Vilas County.

A Winter Weather Advisory, also the first of the season, has been issued for Forest and Oneida counties, where 5"-8" of snow is expected in far NW Oneida and northern Forest counties. 1"-3" of snow is expected elsewhere.

All of these warned areas can expect blowing and drifting snow as winds will be gusting up to 40MPH at times. If you're out of the warned areas, you could still get some snow (maybe a trace-1" or 2" at the most).

I shouldn't have to tell Wisconsinites this but, make sure to slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Please send in any pictures you have!
