Good morning! We're turning up the heat (and humidity) today thanks to a warm front that will push through the area today.

The warm front will slowly move through the area today, and once it passes, temperatures will rise into the 90s with heat indices in the low 100s, mainly south of HWY 29. There is a Heat Advisory in effect for this area.

Across far NE Wisconsin, where the warm front may not make it up there today, due to its slow progression, will probably only see high temperatures in the 80s with heat indices in the 90s. Nonetheless, make sure to check on your neighbors, family members, and stay in the AC, if you can. If you can't, take plenty of breaks and drink lots of water.

As with any hot and humid summer day, a few thunderstorms cannot be ruled out. The SPC has placed much of the area under a Marginal (Level 1) risk for severe weather today. I don't expect much, if anything. But like what we saw yesterday, it can definitely happen.
